Group Business Controller till Abion AB

The Group Business Controller will be a key member of the CFO team, driving performance, shaping strategy, and enabling profitable growth across the organization. This is not just any other reporting role — it combines business partnering, financial insight, and technology-driven analytics to create tangible business impact. The role is about turning financial and operational data into actionable insights that improve margin, cash, and long-term value creation.

This position is located at Abions HQ in Gothenburg. You will report directly to Group CFO and work in close collaboration with other functions also located in Gothenburg and in other Abion offices internationally.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as a strategic partner to management, business areas, and country teams – supporting and challenging decisions with fact-based insights.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning; deliver performance reviews and scenario analysis.
• Drive monthly management reporting to the Board and Management Team.
• Develop BI dashboards, models, and tools that accelerate data-driven decision-making.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas – and ensure execution.
• Champion process improvements, automation, and digital tools to raise efficiency.
• Safeguard financial governance, compliance, and reporting quality together with the CFO and auditors.

What we’re looking for:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or similar.
• Extensive experience in Business Control, FP&A, Management Consulting or Transaction Services. Experience from working in an international group is a plus.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you combine strategy with hands-on execution.
• Strong people skills – relationship builder, collaborative, and pedagogical in communication.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; ERP/BI experience.
• Strong business acumen and a commercial mindset.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
